Fighting & Loud Noise Detection
Verkada cameras can now detect physical altercations and send fighting detection notifications in real time. Combined with new loud noise detection via onboard microphones on select models, your team gets alerted to potential incidents faster than ever.
AI-Powered Incident Summaries
When activity detection identifies someone falling, automatic incident reports are now generated. On top of that, AI-powered incident summaries can auto-generate descriptions for archived footage within an incident report with a single click — saving your team significant time during investigations.
Improved Search & Archiving
The unified timeline search has been upgraded with a new model that combines facial analytics with appearance signals for more accurate results. You can now convert a unified timeline directly into an incident report — including archiving all associated footage — with one click.
Smart Trends on Mobile
Smart trends dashboards are now accessible on the Command mobile app with configurable widgets, along with device stats dashboards for monitoring fleet health on the go. Historical footage loading times have also been improved on mobile.
Alarms: AI-Powered Deterrence Goes Public Beta
AI-Powered Deterrence
This is a standout feature: AI-powered deterrence is now in public beta. Organizations can stop unwanted activity with human-like voice warnings that respond intelligently to the situation. The system uses random voice rotation to prevent offenders from becoming desensitized to repeated warnings. Deterrence functionality now extends to intercoms as well, perfect for discreet entrance and gate installations.
Keypad Upgrades
The BK22 keypad gets a major upgrade with live camera feeds for situational awareness, plus two-way audio that enables direct communication between your security operations center and on-site staff during emergencies. Keypad settings can now be managed remotely through Command — no physical access required.
Sensor Event Alerts & Incident Integration
Alarm sensor events now cover Door Held Open, Motion Detected, and Water Leak Detected scenarios. Historical alarm events can be archived to incident management with one click.
Access Control: Streamlined & Expanded
- Pass App onboarding has been streamlined for Android users with an improved first-time experience
- The AF64 Access Station Pro is now open for early access program requests
- The Command mobile app expands access control functionality, including key setting adjustments and roll call initiation
Intercoms: Live Translation & AI Voice Directory
Live Translation
Verkada intercoms now support live translation with two-way voice and text translation. This is a major enhancement for organizations with multilingual visitors or staff — communication barriers are effectively eliminated at the door.
AI-Powered Voice Directory
The TD63 intercom now features an AI-powered voice directory that uses natural language processing to route calls without needing a receptionist. Visitors simply say who they’re looking for, and the system handles the rest.

- A security relay accessory protects door lock circuitry by keeping power components on the secure side
- Reader over network transmits credential scans via existing network infrastructure, eliminating the need for hardwired connections
