AI Deterrence on Any Camera
The big news for alarms is that AI-powered deterrence — the human-like voice warnings that respond intelligently to detected threats — now works on third-party cameras through Command Connector. If you’ve kept legacy cameras connected to Verkada, you can now layer AI deterrence on top of them without replacing hardware.
Vehicle Line Crossing & Advanced Triggers
Vehicle line-crossing triggers can now activate alarms when vehicles cross digital lines in specified directions — ideal for parking lots, restricted driveways, and loading dock monitoring. Combined with loitering triggers, these advanced detections are now also supported on third-party cameras via Command Connector.
Alarm Management Refinements
- Alarm event reports with filtering by time, location, device type, and dispatch status
- Temporary muting of specific sensors or cameras without disarming the full system
- Natural language schedule setup for arm/disarm scheduling — describe the schedule in plain English and Command builds it
Access Control: New Controllers, Smarter Mobile, Emergency Workflows
AC43 & AC43-G Four-Door Controllers
The new AC43 and AC43-G four-door controllers feature redesigned circuitry, LTE backup for cellular failover, and next-generation battery technology — a meaningful step up for multi-door deployments and sites where wired backhaul reliability is a concern.
EV3 Multi-Technology Card
The ACC-AC-EV3-MT-1 EV3 Multi-Technology Card combines encrypted and proximity credential technologies in a single card — easier transition for sites migrating from legacy prox systems.
Emergency Response Built In
Verkada now includes emergency scenario functionality based on the Standard Response Protocol developed by the “I Love U Guys” Foundation — the framework widely used in K-12 education. This brings standardized lockdown, evacuation, and shelter-in-place workflows directly into Command.
Wireless Lock Enhancements
- Disconnection alerts for wireless locks
- Static cache for local credential storage and offline access when wireless connectivity drops
- Custom polling frequencies (adjustable from the default 10-second interval) for battery optimization

- Audit log natural language search — use plain language to filter and find audit events (Available end of May)

- Custom site roles for granular Video Security and Workplace permissions (Available end of May)
Workplace: Healthcare Workflows & Document Signing
- Signed document fields in Verkada Guest let visitors fill in PDF information as part of check-in
- Global approved lists for centralized multi-site visitor management
- Visitor activity reports with CSV export
- Healthcare-specific updates including separate workflows for adults and minors, custom questionnaires, integrated document signing, and Face Match against internal deny lists
- Receptionist-assisted check-in — front desk staff can run visitor workflows directly from a computer
Connectivity
- Point-to-point support on GW31-E Outdoor Wi-Fi Gateways, allowing them to serve as wireless access points in addition to backhaul
